EPW - Longines, Swiss, 44mm, heavy 14K green gold octagonal Wittnauer OF case with beautiful blue and white enamel inlay to bezel and rear perimeter, blue enamel inlay to pendant and bow, initials to rear, silvered dial with blue numerals, fabulous blued steel serpentine hands, SW-SS, lever escapement, 17J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, cal.18.89M, s#3707540. Gross weight of assembled watch 37.7 dwt (58.7 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running after a very sluggish start, overhaul recommended, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, finish loss to sizable areas of balance cock, some small bits of finish loss elsewhere, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches; dial with some scattered surface spotting which is primarily in perimeter area, "Longines" signature appears to have been added in black ink and is very faded; excellent hands; case shows little wear, some fine scratches to rear including a group at lower perimeter, no dents or dings, good engraving detail, enameling to case body and pendant superb with only a few very small nicks; bow pivots freely and its enameling is largely intact with some surface flaking and small bits of loss, crown shows light wear with some areas of jacket (outer layer) loss; good glass octagonal crystal.
